Marcel Mitchell

Lead Pastor

Pastor Marcel has served at Temple Baptist since August 2009. Marcel was born in Oakville, Ontario and was raised in Delta, British Columbia. He formerly is an aircraft mechanic that sensed a call to ministry shortly after his marriage to his wife Ingrid. Marcel is a graduate of North American Baptist College (B.A. Religion and Christian Ministries) and Taylor University College and Seminary (M.Div). Following his undergraduate theological training he served as youth pastor in Breton, Alberta and Spruce Grove Alberta. He later was Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church from 1998 – 2004. From 2005 – 2009, Marcel was a missionary with the North American Baptist Conference in Mexico City. Marcel is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in Congregational Leadership Development at Sioux Falls Seminary in South Dakota.  He enjoys target shooting, reading, travel, bike rides and coin collecting. Most of all he enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and six children (five girls and one boy) Brittany, Petra, Emma, Kirklyn, Ahava and Wyatt.

Brian Munro

Pastor of Discipleship

Pastor Brian is a “second career” pastor having spent 13 years with Sony of Canada before entering Edmonton Baptist Seminary (now Taylor Seminary) in 1998 to study for his MDiv. When he graduated in 2002, he and his wife, Susie, their middle son Matthew and youngest son Steven moved to Balgonie,SK where Brian was the solo pastor at Balgonie Baptist Church for 8 years. Their oldest son, Duncan, remained in Edmonton to complete school and marry his fiancée, Morgan. They had their first child,Damian, in 2010, making Brian & Susie proud grandparents for the first time. Matt returned to Edmonton in 2004. Steven married Jazmin in 2010 and they have remained living in Regina so Brian & Susie are officially ‘empty nesters’. Brian is passionate about all forms of ministry that teach believers to follow Jesus better and empower them to be the community He wants us to be to fulfil the commission He gave us. From ministry to children, to adult learning, to church-wide discipleship to small groups tooutreach, Pastor Brian is seeking to encourage everyone to follow Jesus and serve Him and each other inlove and for God’s glory.

Keith Boschman

Pastor of Student Ministries

Pastor Keith is originally from Carrot River, Saskatchewan. Keith went to Briercrest College right after high school where he recieved his Bacholor of Arts. Keith married his wife Lisa in the spring of 2000. Following college, Keith went on to serve in as a Youth Pastor in Saskatoon, SK., as the Education Coordinator at Teen Challenge Saskatchewan, and as an Associate Pastor in Hinton, AB. Keith joined the staff at Temple Baptist Church as Pastor of Student Ministries in August of 2008.

Elvira Kenzie

Administrative Assistant

Hi I’m Elvira Kenzie, administrative assistant at Temple Baptist Church. My husband Terry and I have been attending here for over 28 years and are glad to be part of this church family. As many other Medicine Hat residents, we originally came from Saskatchewan and go back to visit there from time to time. Terry and I have one son, one daughter, a son-in-law and two small dogs. One of my most treasured moments are those times that I can spend with my family. I have many hobbies; I love to read, sew, crochet and quilt. I also enjoy going for walks.
